Maniatis Lab

The Maniatis Lab pioneered the development and application of recombinant DNA technology to understanding the molecular mechanisms of gene regulation. They are currently focused on studies of the human protocadherin gene cluster, which provides a cell surface protein “barcode” required for self-recognition of individual neurons during brain development.
