Chenxu Zhu, PhD, is a Core Faculty Member at the New York Genome Center. He holds a joint appointment as Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiology and Biophysics and the Institute for Computational Biomedicine at Weill Cornell Medicine.
His research is focused on the application and development of innovative genomic tools and methods, including single-cell technologies, to gain greater understanding of molecular mechanisms of gene regulation in human development and disease, particularly in cancer.
Prior ExperienceDr. Zhu joined the NYGC from the San Diego branch of the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, where he served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Bing Ren’s Laboratory of Gene Regulation. He obtained his PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Peking University.
