World’s Most-Cited Researchers Include NYGC Core Faculty Members

NYGC researchers recognized again for publishing papers in top 1% by citations for their fields

Core Faculty Members at the New York Genome Center (NYGC) are among the world’s most-cited researchers, and have been named to Clarivate Analytics’ 2023 Highly Cited Researchers list for the fifth consecutive year.

Rahul Satija, PhD, NYGC Core Faculty Member and Associate Professor at the Center for Genomics and Systems Biology at New York University (NYU) and Neville Sanjana, PhD, NYGC Core Faculty Member, Associate Professor in the Department of Biology at NYU and Associate Professor of Neuroscience and Physiology at the NYU School of Medicine represent the NYGC and NYU on the 2023 Highly Cited Researchers list for their work in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, and genetics, respectively.

The annual list gathers those in the field who had demonstrated significant and broad influence reflected in their publication of multiple highly cited papers over the last decade. The highly cited papers rank in the top 1% by citations for a field or fields and publication year in the Web of Science.
