Soren Germer and Vaidehi Jobanputra Discuss NYGC’s Clinical Whole-Genome Sequencing Collaboration in GenomeWeb Feature

New York, NY  ·  January 5, 2021

“Overall, it ties into the strategy for expanding the availability of clinical whole-genome sequencing to patients and hospitals,” is how Vaidehi Jobanputra, PhD, FACMG, Director of Molecular Diagnostics, New York Genome Center (NYGC), characterizes to GenomeWeb the NYGC’s collaboration with Weill Cornell Medicine, NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, and Illumina to expand patient access to advanced genomic technologies.

GenomeWeb reporter Julia Karow interviewed Dr. Jobanputra as well as Soren Germer, PhD, NYGC’s senior VP of genomic technologies, and Weill Cornell Medicine’s Olivier Elemento, PhD, and Marcus DaSilva Goncalves, MD, PhD, in an in-depth feature as a follow-up to the announcement of the initiative last month.
