The New York Genome Center (NYGC) is pleased to announce that we’re now accepting applications for our inaugural Early Career Development Program (post-baccalaureate training). The program provides recent undergraduates with exceptional scientific training and research experience in faculty and non-faculty laboratories, leveraging NYGC’s unique scientific strengths in genomics, computational biology, technology innovation, and clinical genetic testing. In addition to their scientific work, program participants will be offered various mentorship, programming, and enrichment opportunities that will introduce them to different career paths in the public or private sector or graduate school options. Program participants will be offered a two-year full-time position at the NYGC, starting in summer 2024.

Diversity, equity, and inclusion are central to the core mission at the NYGC. We strive to create a workplace environment that is welcoming and equitable for all, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, physical ability, or religion. The Early Career Development Program welcomes applications from science-baccalaureate holders who are members of groups traditionally underrepresented in biological, computational, biomedical, clinical, behavioral and social sciences research, including individuals from racial and ethnic minorities, individuals with disabilities, individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, and women.
