The New York Genome Center (NYGC) participated in its fourth New York Cares Day, which is held twice a year in the spring and fall.
The NYGC team worked with other groups of volunteers at the Riverside Valley Community Gardens in West Harlem on Saturday afternoon (April 16.) Activities consisted of installing “erosion control logs” to mitigate the effects of soil erosion, as well as spreading soil and planting flowers.
