Ivan Iossifov, PhD
Core Faculty Member, NYGC Professor at Cold Spring Harbor LaboratoryIvan Iossifov, PhD, is a Core Faculty Member at the New York Genome Center (NYGC), with a joint appointment as a Professor at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory.
His research interests are in the areas of genomics and systems biology and their application in the study of the etiologies of neuropsychiatric disorders like autism, schizophrenia, and cancer. At the NYGC, Dr. Iossifov’s research focuses on studying the genetic architectures of autism and related neurodevelopmental disorders.
Prior ExperienceDr. Iossifov obtained an MS degree in Computer Science from Sofia University in Bulgaria and a PhD in Biomedical Informatics from Columbia University.
