Emily Hoelzli (Research Associate) received her BA in Biology from Bard College. She studied the importance of Wnt signaling in cancer cell survival following radiation therapy at the Weill Cornell Medical College. She currently specializes in culturing and differentiating human induced pluripotent stem cells into neural cell types relevant to ALS for transcriptomic analysis. Her goal is to use in vitro studies to uncover changes in gene expression as a result of ALS associated mutations.
