Eligibility

Early Career Development Program

The NYGC Early Career Development (Post-Baccalaureate) program is open to candidates with a strong commitment to science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) as well as a demonstrated interest in diversity, equity, and inclusion. The program encourages applicants from groups traditionally underrepresented in the biological, computational, biomedical, clinical, behavioral and social sciences, including individuals from racial and ethnic minorities, individuals with disabilities, individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, and women.

Applicants must meet the following criteria: 

  • B.S./B.A. degree holders or current/rising seniors in a science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) field from an accredited college or university (Degree must be awarded prior to the program start date in summer 2024);
  • Less than three years since graduation at the time of application submission. Individuals who wish to apply but cannot satisfy this requirement may provide a statement explaining their circumstances;
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
