Event Space Rental

If your organization is in the market for an event venue in one of New York City’s most attractive and trendy downtown areas — accommodating up to 254 guests at an affordable daily rate, then the New York Genome Center’s event space could be a perfect fit. The rental fee includes our in-house, top-of-the-line audiovisual system, dedicated audiovisual support and WiFi. The space is available for rent on weekdays, evenings and Saturdays.

 

We offer a spacious, state-of-the-art, beautifully-appointed 4,000-plus square foot space, located on the ground floor at 101 Avenue of the Americas where the Soho, Tribeca and Hudson Square neighborhoods intersect. With soaring 22’ ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and the flexibility to configure the space to suit a wide variety of uses, this venue provides a unique opportunity for meeting and event planners. Our space includes an auditorium that comfortably sits up to 182 people; a café that can fit up to 254 people for receptions, breakouts, demos and workshops; a private conference room for meetings of up to 30 people; an outdoor terrace with stunning views for a cocktail party of up to 74 people; and a catering kitchen with a prepping area, warming ovens, refrigerators and freezers.

 

The venue is available to rent for a broad range of uses including lectures, meetings, workshops, conferences, annual and shareholders meetings, holiday parties, lunches, dinners and cocktail receptions.

    FIVE POINTS
    Five Points lecture series bring leading scientists from around the world for an in-depth discussion of their work with students, researchers and clinicians from the New York Genome Center, its member institutions, and others in the medical/scientific community. While Five Points lectures are free and open to the general public, these lectures are most beneficial to scientists, clinicians and researchers who wish to accelerate their research through the use of DNA sequencing technology and bioinformatics. Five Points lectures often frame five or so key points, in a nod to the series’ name — followed by 15 minutes of Q&A, and 30 minutes of networking over hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. These afternoon events are held in the Center’s state-of-the-art ground-floor auditorium starting at 4 pm.
