Mirroring New York itself, NYGC draws people for each other. Working with whip-smart colleagues, and stunningly diverse citizens beyond, we can help a great city — and planet — weave insights from our own cells, ever more wisely and deeply, into everyday life.
Nathan Pearson, PHDSenior Director of Scientific Engagement and Public Outreach
The philosophy and vision with which the NYGC was founded has resonated with me from the beginning. When I saw it coming into shape, I hoped that I would have an opportunity to work here. Now that I am here, I see that our excellence, combined with our collegiality and our ambition, enables us to tackle both complicated and complex problems in a way that is unprecedented.
Hemali Phatnani, PHDStaff Scientist & Co-Director of the Center for Genomics of Neurodegenerative Disease
The New York Genome Center is dedicated to translating genomic research into clinical solutions that improve, and save, lives. Essential to this commitment is an insightful and talented staff. I am honored to be a part of this incredible team.
